Good to Know Before You Go

Pace of the trip

Some days include long drives, especially from Fes to Merzouga and from Dades Gorge to Marrakech. Rest days in Fes and Marrakech balance the schedule.

Best seasons

March to May and September to November offer the most comfortable weather. Summer is very hot inland, and winter can be cold in the mountains and the desert.

What to pack

Comfortable walking shoes, layers for mountain and desert evenings, sun protection, a scarf and a small bag for the desert night.

Modest dress

Dress respectfully in the medinas and religious sites. Light, loose clothes that cover shoulders and knees work best.

Customise it

Add days in the desert, upgrade to a luxury camp or choose boutique riads. Tell us your budget and style.
