Fes-Chefchaouen Day Trip
Overview
The driver from Morocco Desert World will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes around 8 a.m. for an exciting journey north to explore Chefchaouen, also known as The Blue City, renowned as one of the most beautiful and captivating cities in Morocco.
En route to The Blue City, you’ll enjoy picturesque views of lush green forests, expansive and fertile rivers, as well as the stunning gorges and verdant mountains that encircle Chefchaouen.
Upon arrival, your day in Chaouen will begin with a leisurely stroll through the city’s enchanting blue and white painted narrow streets. Founded in 1471 by Moulay Ali Ben Moussa as a Kasbah fortress and dungeon, which can still be visited today, Chefchaouen offers a unique charm. Its markets are brimming with genuine handicrafts, including the area’s distinctive and beautifully adorned sombreros or hats, crafted with different colored fabrics rarely found elsewhere in the country. During your trip, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the town square, enjoy lunch at one of its cafes or restaurants, and savor goat’s cheese.
Among the other highlights of the trip are visits to The Grand Mosque of the Medina and Place Mohamed Park.
At the end of the day, the driver will pick you up from the center of Chefchaouen and return you to your accommodation in Fes.
