Your Marrakech Day, Step by Step

This is the usual flow of the day. Some sites have opening hours or close on certain days, so your guide adapts the order to keep the visit smooth.

  1. Departure from Casablanca

Around 8 am, your driver picks you up at your accommodation in Casablanca and heads south to Marrakech in an air-conditioned vehicle. The road crosses the plains of central Morocco, and the Atlas Mountains appear on the horizon as you approach the Red City. Use the ride to rest, as you have a full and exciting day ahead.

    Around 8 am

  2. Majorelle Garden

Your first visit is the Majorelle Garden, a peaceful oasis of fountains, winding paths, cacti and bright cobalt blue walls. Your guide tells the story of its French designers, the painter Jacques Majorelle and later Yves Saint Laurent, who worked to make the garden truly marvelous. Take your time to enjoy the views from the heart of the garden and listen for the 15 species of birds that live there.

    Late morning

  3. Lunch in the medina

Before continuing the day trip, we stop in the medina for lunch at a restaurant of your choice. Order from the menu at your own pace, and let your guide suggest classics to try, such as tagine, couscous or grilled dishes. Lunch and drinks are paid directly by you.

    Lunch at your own cost

  4. Bahia and El Badi palaces

After lunch, visit the Bahia Palace and the El Badi ruins, two famous palaces whose architecture was built many centuries ago and still impresses today. At Bahia you see painted cedar ceilings, mosaic floors and shaded courtyards, while El Badi shows the scale of a once-grand Saadian palace, with storks often nesting on its old walls. Walk between the walls and enjoy a break in the courtyards.

    Afternoon

  5. Jewish Quarter, Saadian Tombs and Koutoubia

Continue to the Jewish Quarter and the Saadian Tombs, built from 1557 and expanded under Sultan Ahmed El Mansour, a hidden royal necropolis with intricate carved cedar and marble. Then see the Koutoubia Mosque and its tower, the 12th-century minaret that dominates the Marrakech skyline and has served as a model for other great Moroccan minarets. Your guide explains how these landmarks fit into the story of the city.

    Afternoon

  6. Jemaa el-Fna and return

Finish in Jemaa el-Fna, the famous square in Marrakech, where you can watch snake shows, visit henna artists and enjoy a cup of fresh orange juice. In the late afternoon, we prepare to return to Casablanca and drop you off at your hotel. You travel home tired but happy, with a day of colour, history and flavour behind you.
