Our story
It Started in the Dunes, Not in an Office
Lahbib Lamail was born in the desert into a Berber family, and the dunes were his first playground. He grew up with one dream: to share the beauty of Morocco, its vast landscapes, the culture of his people and the desert way of life with travellers from around the world.
He made that dream real in Zagora, in the south of Morocco, close to the Sahara. Today Visit the Desert is a small local team of guides and drivers who build every trip by hand, whatever the destination, the length or the budget.
A long stay, a short break or a single weekend: we shape the route around you, whether you travel as a couple, with family, with friends or on your own.

Lahbib Lamail
Of Berber descent and born in the desert, Lahbib knows the south of Morocco the way you know your own street. He founded Visit the Desert to share the Morocco he loves, shapes every itinerary and stays close from your first message to your last sunrise in the dunes. Mustapha
Mustapha, also of Berber descent, spent years living in the desert with his family before turning his knowledge of the region into a career in tourism. On the road he is the guide who slows down at the right moment, for the valley view, the mint tea stop or the perfect photo. Travellers praise his careful, safe driving.

In Zagora, in the south of Morocco, close to the Sahara. Our tours start from Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca and Agadir.
Are your tours private?
Yes. You travel in your own vehicle with a local driver or guide, so you set the pace and choose where to stop.
